Lokum Ensemble ontstond een jaar geleden in Rotterdam om op maqam gebaseerde traditionele Anatolische tunes te spelen, evenals de Ottomaanse klassieke stukken. De belangrijkste focus van dit ensemble is het behouden van de traditionele essentie van de muziek met een opbeurende sfeer.
